Durham
The newest of the 18 First-Class counties, Durham CCC gained the prestigious status in 1992 and within the last decade have won three coveted County Championship titles. The Durham Jets as they are known in List A cricket have also won the Friends Provident Trophy as it was them known in 2007 before repeating the feat in the newly formed Royal London One Day Cup in 2014. Despite their delayed emergence into the professional game, Durham have performed at a high level and have also produced a number of England internationals of late however financial strain led to their demise in 2016 as they were relegated as part of a financial support package from the England Cricket Board meaning they currently play in the Division Two of the County Championship.
The northern county play their matches at home ground, The Riverside which for many years has also hosted international matches and become one of England's few Test Match Status grounds in the country.
